Normally I don’t go in churches, but there was something so aesthetically pleasing about my visit to the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral. Ornate decor, harrowing echoes, the smell of shame, and perfectly preserved flamboyant religious imagery. The woman facilitating our tour let us into the room where the clergy gathers, where no one is supposed to go. I think she liked us enough to let us in. One of the most intriguing photo ops I have partaken in.
